ETHANOL... What's the deal?
Proponents say E85 is Environmentally Friendly, Fights Global Warming, and Can Reduce our Dependence on Fossil Fuel. But Don't Hold That Against It.
HOT RODDERS: IT CAN ALSO BE AN IDEAL PERFORMANCE FUEL

For Hot Rod Drag week "this year Mike Anello of St. Louis, Missouri converted his turbocharged Fairmont from 87 Octane pump gas to E85 ethanol" just to be a little different." he says. On gas the Ford ran a best of 9.67. On E85 it tore out the Powerflide's gearset at 900 feet and still ran a 9.26.

Anello's Dart-blocked 401ci Ford runs at 18 psi of boost with a turbocharger from a 12.5L Detroit Diesel. The carburetor and belt drive fuel pump are from C&S Specialties calibrated by Anello to operate on E85. Mike is employed by C&S Specialties.

We built our first Ethanol Carburetors 23 years ago for the Nebraska Highway Patrol. All our carburetors can be built to your engine specs to run on ethanol. Call for information and pricing.

#81 Super Stock Truck
driven by Leonard Vahsholtz
Leonard’s rookie year was 1977, he has the most wins by a single individual with a total of 18. Elapsed time this year was 11:30.536 which was a personal best. Clint has the distinction of being the only driver with 11 consecutive wins in any division and has amassed a total of 14 consecutive 1st place wins and one 2nd place this year when he had a cracked cylinder wall. Both qualified quick time. Together the father/son team has accumulated 32 wins surpassing the father/son team of Bobby Unser Sr. and Robby Unser with a total of 22.

C&S Carburetors have been the ONLY brand of carburetor raced by the Vahsholtz Team ranging from the 800 alcohol in 1977 to the 800 and 900 cfm alcohol billets today.

SCOTT MORANDE
DENVER,CO

Hi Guys,
We wanted to let you know how well the carb works on our 66 Nova 3300 lbs. street car 565 Chevy. On gasoline went 8.30 @ 165 mph in Denver with adjusted altitude at 8100 feet. We shut the car off at 1000 feet due to a hardware failure inside our F-2 ProCharger. ProCharger fixed the problem at no charge and over-nighted the unit back to us. This pass would have easily been 7.50-7.60 at any of the lower elevation tracks. We are very confident that we will tune this combo to run in the seven second range here in Denver. The only adjustment we have made so far is 10 jet sizes richer. This combo has a lot more in it. We will keep in touch. Thank You for giving us a product that does what we were told it would do and more.

TIM BARKER & GREG WHITE’S SILVER BULLET
PRO STOCK CHAMPION ITPA 2006
Laurel, Indiana   Built on 2000 Chevy S-10 Body

After enduring an intense summer long season of Truck Pulling, “Silver Bullet” has won the ITPA 6200 pound prostock 4x4 2006 Championship. Competition is extremely tough in this class. Except for some “custom parts” in the motor, they built the entire truck from the ground up. 900 plus horsepower out of 485 cubic inch per class rules.
